SAN DIEGO -- In win-now mode, the San Diego Chargers start one of the most important offseasons in franchise history on April 18.
After finishing 4-12 last season, head coach Mike McCoy needs to stack some wins together early in order to avoid possibly losing his job midway through the year. And with a potential vote on a new stadium slated to take place in November, the Chargers hope to have some success in the first half of the regular season in order to build support for the team's citizens' initiative effort.
"As players and coaches, our job is to go out there and perform, week in and week out and do our jobs on Sundays," McCoy said.
