Quick takeaways on the Chargers facility initiative, six days before Election Day:
+ If Measure C is voted down, a template for a new stadium plan could be the agreement reached between Mayor Kevin Faulconer and Chargers Owner-Chairman Dean Spanos.
Terms between Faulconer and Spanos are non-binding, as the Union-Tribune’s David Garrick reported when he broke the story.
A logical step would be to codify the terms into a 2017 initiative. Measure C 2.0, if you will, also would allow the Spanoses to enlist the popular Faulconer, who breezed in the June primaries, through November 2017.
