Votes from the Nov. 8 election are still being counted in San Diego, and the hits keep coming for the Spanoses in the Stadium Game.
The victory for Kristin Gaspar, an incoming County Supervisor whose opponent conceded the election Monday, brings a new face to county government for just the second time in two decades.
And Gaspar says she’s less willing to play ball on a stadium subsidy than is fellow board member Ron Roberts, a longtime supporter of the Chargers and Padres.
In 2015, Roberts pledged $150 million from the county toward a new Chargers stadium in Mission Valley.
