SAN DIEGO -- The Los Angeles Chargers are the only team in the AFC West to not have a player from their front seven on defense selected to the Pro Bowl in the last two years.
In fact, the Chargers have not had a defensive lineman or edge rusher play in the annual NFL all-star game since Shaun Phillips in 2011.
But that could change this year. With Melvin Ingram retained via the franchise tag and Joey Bosa coming off Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, the Chargers should have one of the best edge rushing duos in the NFL in 2017.
