During the latter years of Philip Rivers’ career with the Chargers, he became fast friends with running back Danny Woodhead. Their chemistry on the field was very apparent, and Woodhead’s presence on the field as a savvy pass-catcher was a godsend for Rivers who had to fight for his life behind some of the worst offensive line units for the Chargers of the past decade during the mid 2010s.
Before ever landing with a team in the NFL, however, Woodhead enjoyed an incredibly-prolific college career at Chadron State, a Division II school in Nebraska.
