When quarterback Moses Moreno studied at the feet of Jim Harbaugh as Chargers teammates in 1999 and 2000, they often joked that officials had the best Sunday jobs.
“They come in, they’re right there with the best seats in the house and toss a flag here or there,” said Moreno.
Sixteen years after his NFL career ended, Moreno, 40, the pride of Castle Park High, will soon begin his fourth season as a member of the San Diego County Football Officials Association.
