Detroit Pistons owner buys 27-percent share of Chargers

On Friday, news broke that Dea Spanos Berberian, the sister of Chargers owner Dean Spanos, has officially sold her 27-percent share of the Chargers to current Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores, per Pro Football Talk.

Per the report, Gores purchased the stake in the team in his own individual capacity, not as a part of his private equity firm, Platinum Equity.

PFT reports that Gores will have no path to control of the team in any capacity and he will have no day-to-day involvement with the Chargers.
