JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A look at San Diego Chargers players who were “up” and those who were “down” in Sunday’s 31-25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars:
UP
Denzel Perryman – In his second career start, the rookie out of Miami led the Chargers with seven combined tackles and played physical against the Jacksonville running game.
Phillip Rivers – He completed 29 of 43 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He also accomplished a couple impressive milestones on Sunday. Rivers became the 17th quarterback in NFL history with 40,000 career passing yards. Rivers also moved into 12th all-time in passing touchdowns with 274, climbing past Hall of Famer Joe Montana with three touchdown passes in the first half.
