Just as the clock struck 4 p.m. ET, beginning the new league year, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that linebacker Denzel Perryman is expected to sign with the Panthers. Perryman will look to get a fresh start in Carolina, much closer to his home state of Florida.

Perryman was originally drafted by the Bolts in the second round of the 2015 draft out of the University of Miami. Known as a hard-hitting, throwback-type of backer, Perryman started nine games as a rookie.
