SAN DIEGO -- For the first time in more than a decade, the San Diego Chargers could have a top 10 draft pick.
At 2-7, the Chargers would have the No. 4 overall selection in the 2016 draft if the draft were held this week, according to ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates.
The last time the Chargers had a top-10 pick things turned out pretty well. Back in 2004, the Chargers drafted Eli Manning at No. 1 overall and traded him for Philip Rivers, a third-round pick that turned into kicker Nate Kaeding and a 2005 first-round pick that turned into pass rusher Shawne Merriman.
