SAN DIEGO -- Confident, yet humble, San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead wrote a letter to his 18-year-old younger self looking back at his football career, which he published in The Players’ Tribune.
Woodhead reflects back on his time as a high school senior, turned down for a scholarship at his dream school of Nebraska, turning down an invitation to walk-on for the Cornhuskers to follow in the father’s footsteps and play with older brother Ben at Division II Chadron State.
The message of the letter is simple: Everything happens for a reason, trust in God’s plan and when one door closes, another will open for you.
