Good morning.

Checking first on the Stadium Game, we begin at the East Village site where the Chargers plan a stadium and convention center annex.

If the plan gets to ballot, San Diego voters will decide in November: yay or nay on a hotel tax that would fund $1.15 billion toward the project. Construction is estimated to cost $1.85 billion.

Chargers chairman Dean Spanos and team spokesmen say the annex would lure conventioneers to the East Village (some of them after crossing a $26.8-million footbridge, spanning Harbor Drive, that opened in 2011). As well, Team Spanos lauds the exhibition-show potential within the stadium bowl.
