In the final game of his career Sunday, Chargers receiver Malcom Floyd was concussed in the first half at Denver.
The team announced he will not return to the game.
Floyd, one of the team's most popular plays, has said he will retire after the season.
Undrafted out of Wyoming, Floyd joined the Chargers in 2004. He leaves with 34 career touchdowns and 321 receptions for 5,550 yards.
This year, Floyd had 30 catches in 68 targets. His average of 18.7 yards per catch led the NFL going into this weekend.
Before he was concussed Sunday, he had no catches in two targets against Denver.
