SAN DIEGO -- After being cut by the Tennessee Titans days before the start of the regular season, running back Dexter McCluster waited for the right moment before signing with a team.
And after Danny Woodhead went down this past Sunday with a season-ending ACL injury, that situation was created with the San Diego Chargers.
“The coaches are very familiar with him,” Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said. “His skill set and what he brings were what we were looking for to come in and help us, and we’re just taking it day by day.
