IRVINE —
The demise of the San Diego Fleet football club hit many employees harder than it did Jeremiah Kolone, the team’s center.
“I was one of the lucky ones,” Kolone said.
Kolone was living in Fallbrook with his parents, sparing him relocation stresses that rocked many other sacked workers of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) when the startup league folded April 2.
“I drove home, took a couple of days off and then started training,” he said.
Now the Fallbrook High alum is trying to stick with the Los Angeles Rams, who reached the recent Super Bowl.
