COSTA MESA —
The Carson Era ends Sunday for the Chargers, and it’s not clear what the team has accomplished — on the field, in the stands and financially — in the three years since it left San Diego.
While the Carson soccer stadium in which the Chargers have played 21 games (winning 11) is Disneyland clean and affords good traffic flow and sight lines, the venue was built for soccer.
For NFL football, the vibe is rinky-dink, right down to the soccer markings on the field and tiny locker rooms.
Asked Wednesday if he has good memories of the soccer park, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon was quick to reply.
