The San Diego Chargers have addressed the offensive line this offseason, but the team has yet to bring in a free agent from another team to shore up a unit that struggled last season. Instead, general manager Tom Telesco has chosen to work with the players he already has, starting by re-signing tackle Joe Barksdale and then restructuring the contract of King Dunlap.
That trend continued on Tuesday night, as Chris Hairston was given a two-year contract. Hairston gives the Chargers depth as he can play multiple positions along the line. Last season, his first in San Diego, Hairston played in all 16 games and started a career-high 11.
