Dontrelle Inman, Tyrell Williams and Isaiah Burse are the only other wide receivers on the active roster. The team has both Dom Williams and Jonathan Krause on the practice squad.
Reports earlier in the week mentioned that the Chargers worked out a few veteran wide receivers, including Griff Whalen, Chris Givens and Aaron Dobson.
Are any of these guys going to be the answer to replace the two key players the team has lost? No, not even close. Sure, the team may be doing its due diligence to pursue outside options, but if you’re going to bring a guy like that in, just re-sign James Jones.
