For the second week in a row, the Chargers will make a player inactive due to reasons that have nothing to do with an injury. This is often referred to as a “healthy scratch”, but in those cases, the player is usually struggling on the field or just not part of the team’s game plan.
That wasn’t the case last week when the team played the Jacksonville Jaguars without Denzel Perryman and Roderic Teamer. That was in addition to not using either Jerry Tillery or Trey Pipkins in a game that essentially meant nothing in the standings.
