The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that they’ve waived TE Asante Cleveland with an injury designation and signed TE Mike Estes and WR Cameron Posey to contracts.
Should Cleveland pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Tuesday.
Cleveland, 24, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Miami (FL) back in May of last year. He spent a good majority of last year on the team’s practice squad.
The Patriots traded for him in August, but he was, unfortunately, unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
