SAN DIEGO -- The reunion was short-lived one for the San Diego Chargers and receiver Vincent Brown.
The Chargers announced on Tuesday that they have released the five-year pro.
Signed on Dec. 8, Brown was active his first week with the Chargers, finishing with one catch for 22 yards in a 10-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, Brown was inactive for the last two games, with the Chargers playing developmental receivers in Dontrelle Inman and Tyrell Williams.
A third-round selection by the Chargers in 2011, Brown suffered a calf strain on the second day of training camp in 2014, but was expected to return to the field early in the regular season.
