Chargers waive UDFA OLB Savion Jackson

The Chargers have made their first cut since the start of training camp as they’ve announced the waiving of outside linebacker Savion Jackson. Jackson was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State following this year’s NFL draft.

The 6’2, 263-pound Jackson was a longshot to make the Chargers’ final roster a he was a member of the team’s most-talented position group. He was also deemed a bit of a ‘tweener who may have been labeled an edge rusher but had the build of an undersized defensive lineman.
