The Los Angeles Chargers announced Tuesday that they’ve waived C Max Tuerk and released DE Whitney Richardson from the practice squad.
Tuerk just finished serving his four-game suspension for violating NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances and it appears he’s no longer in their plans.
Tuerk, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.57 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $613,000 and $760,000 over the next two years.
Tuerk has yet to appear in an NFL game since entering the league.
