The 2-2 Chargers are back on the practice field this week to prep for a divisional road date with the 3-2 Broncos.
Denver, who started the year 0-2, have now rattled off three consecutive wins behind the efforts of their elite defense which ranks in the top five in multiple categories. The unit is led by cornerback Patrick Surtain II, one of the league’s best young defenders.
Similar to the matchup with the Steelers, this game will likely be decided by which elite defense does the best job of keeping the opposing offense buttoned up. That job will become a lot more difficult for the Broncos if the Chargers are able to get back both starting offensive tackles in Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt.
