Even though former Florida State safety Akeem Dent has some of better chances to make the Chargers from this year’s UDFA group, there’s now a chance he foregoes that potential opportunity to go play ball in the United Football League after he was selected in the seventh round of this week’s draft.
Dent, who had a lengthy career for the Seminoles, was drafted by the Michigan Panthers who went 7-3 in the league inaugural season and finished second in the USFL Conference to the eventual champions, the Birmingham Stallions.
