LOS ANGELES -- The Chargers will host the NFL's second regular-season game in Brazil, the NFL announced Wednesday.
The Chargers, who last played an international game in 2018, will face a to-be-announced opponent in São Paolo on Friday, Sept. 5, the day after the NFL season kicks off on Thursday night.
This game will be the Chargers' first international competition since hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City in 2019. The Bolts lost that game 24-19. L.A. has also played two games at London's Wembley Stadium, against the Tennessee Titans in 2018 and against New Orleans in 2008.
