The hype from the 2-0 start was fun while it lasted.
Everyone knew this week’s matchup with the Steelers was going to be ugly, but I don’t think anyone expected that ugliness to be so lopsided by the end of it.
The Chargers hung in there during a back-and-forth first half. They entered halftime with a 10-7 lead after stopping the Steelers just short of field goal range. However, a number of floodgates opened in the second half and the Chargers were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of unfortunate injuries and back-breaking penalties.
