The Los Angeles Chargers and former Broncos tight end Virgil Green have agreed to a three-year deal.
The Chargers are adding depth at tight end. According to the team’s official website, the Chargers have signed Virgil Green to a three-year deal. No other details have been released.
Green is the first outside free agent to sign with the Chargers. The 29-year-old veteran has spent his entire seven-year career with the Denver Broncos. The Chargers needed some bodies behind No. 1 tight end Hunter Henry, so this signing makes sense. Antonio Gates, Jeff Cumberland, Sean McGrath and Asante Cleveland are all free agents.
