The San Diego Chargers announced Thursday that they’ve signed K Nick Novak and waived K Younghoe Koo.
Novak, 35, was a somewhat surprising cut from the Chargers at the start of 2015 year. However, he managed to catch on with the Texans midseason and re-signed with the team following that season.
Novak finished a one-year, $965,000 contract with the Texans and was re-signed by the team to a one-year, $1.15 million contract. Unfortunately, the Texans released him coming out of the preseason.
In 2016, Novak appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and converted 35 field goals on 41 attempts (85.
