On Friday afternoon, the Chargers announced the signing of kicker JJ Molson to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the released running back Derrick Gore.
The 6’1, 197-pound Molson was a four-year starter for the Bruins from 2016 to 2019. He hit home on 51-of-74 field goal attempts, good for a 69% conversion rate. In his senior season, he went 8-for-14 with a long of 49. His career-long was a 50-yarder in 2018.
This announcement comes just a few days after the team announced the signing of a second punter to their practice squad.
