Chargers should expect bounce-back year from Orlando Franklin

SAN DIEGO -- It's safe to say 2015 was not the year San Diego Chargers offensive tackle Orlando Franklin expected.

Franklin, 28, signed a lucrative, five-year, $36.5 million deal with the AFC West rival Chargers in free agency, after spending his first four years in the league with the Denver Broncos.

Signed to play left guard next to King Dunlap at left tackle, injuries kept Franklin out of the starting lineup a good part of last year.

After missing just one game because of injury his first four seasons in the NFL, Franklin missed six games in 2015 because of a high-ankle sprain and MCL knee sprain.
