Chargers' schedule set for 2017

The Chargers’ first season away from San Diego since 1960 will include another “first” since their old American Football League days: a game on Thanksgiving Day.

The team will play at Dallas on Nov. 23 as part of the 2017 schedule announced Thursday afternoon by the NFL. The Chargers last played on Turkey Day in 1969, the last year before the AFL-NFL merger.

The Chargers will open their season with a Monday night road game on Sept. 11 against a familiar rival, the Denver Broncos. The game will mark the debut for two head coaches, Anthony Lynn of the Chargers and Vance Joseph of the Broncos.
