CARSON, Calif. -- Melvin Gordon's second touchdown run against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday in his team's final game at Dignity Health Sports Park summed up his three years playing there for the Los Angeles Chargers in a nutshell.
"Terrible," Gordon said, when asked to describe his experience at the pint-sized stadium. "I don't like it. Every game is an away game. I caught myself trying to pump up the crowd after I scored and realized it was all black jerseys. So I was like, 'Man, it's not a home game.'"
The Chargers were supposed to be in Carson for only two years, but construction delays at the team's new facility in Inglewood forced the Bolts to play there for three.
