A new scouting year in the NFL begins after each draft.
For the Chargers, that leaves no more opportune time to restructure their personnel department than now.
The franchise did so over the past week. Adjustments came to both the college and pro scouting divisions, as it parted with two long-time evaluators in college scout Paul Skansi and assistant director of pro scouting Bryan Cox. This week, it added a high-ranking executive, hiring former Eagles senior director of pro personnel Louis Clark to the same role.
Skansi, a former wide receiver at Washington, had been with the Chargers since 2000.
