Since firing head coach Mike McCoy after Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Diego Chargers have begun requesting permission to interview potential candidates. The first names we saw were defensive coordinators Matt Patricia of the New England Patriots and Vance Joseph of the Miami Dolphins. Today, we get a special teams coach from the Chiefs, Dave Toub.

Toub, an offensive lineman in college, was selected in the ninth round of the 1985 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and played with the Los Angeles Rams the following year.
