Chargers Releasing LT King Dunlap

Peter Schrager reports that the Chargers are releasing OT King Dunlap on Monday.

Dunlap was due a $500,000 roster bonus on March 18 and Michael Gehlken previously mentioned that the Chargers were likely to either restructure his contract or release him now that they’ve signed Russell Okung to a big-money deal.

King, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2008. He spent four years in Philadelphia before signing on with the Chargers in 2013.

Dunlap is was in the third year of his four-year, $28 million contract that included $13 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $5.
