Dontrelle Inman, Travis Benjamin, Andre Patton, Jason Moore and Geremy Davis have all had their opportunities to take on the role of the third wide receiver on the depth chart this season. Inman looked to be the man that would take over but was injured against the Miami Dolphins.
Now, it seems Patton is taking over as a low tier third option. Now, Patton still has room to grow and gave the Denver Broncos some fits by drawing pass interference on deep pass plays, but the overall talent in the receiver room can be much better.
You have guys like Artavis Scott and Dylan Cantrell injured, but both have been injured for two years straight now, and haven’t given the Chargers much to work with.
