The Chargers were defeated 24-17 by the Arizona Cardinals, but it’s the evaluation process that matters most in the preseason. If you’re a proponent of wide receiver Geremy Davis making the squad, he certainly put forth his best effort on Saturday night.
Davis caught four passes for 88 yards and a touchdown, averaging 22 yards per reception. The touchdown catch he made was especially impressive. Geno Smith loaded it up and threw downfield to a streaking Davis who was able to go up over the defender and catch the ball at its highest point. He then kept his footing and shook off the defender before turning into the end zone.
