The Chargers put seven players on the 10-man practice squad Sunday.
Quarterback Brad Sorensen wasn't among them.
Here are the seven: cornerback Greg Ducre, receiver Javontee Herndon, guard-center Michael Huey, outside linebacker Ryan Mueller, safety Adrian Phillips, running back Dreamius Smith and defensive tackle Damion Square.
The Chargers still need to add a quarterback.
Sorensen didn't make the 53-man squad but knows their system.
The Chargers will open the season Sept. 13 against the Detroit Lions, who cut a backup quarterback, Kellen Moore, on Saturday.
Days before their two season openers under coach Mike McCoy, the Chargers have signed an offensive player cut that week by their Week 1 opponent.
