The Chargers announced they have placed their starting defensive tackle Corey Liuget on the reserve-injured list cutting his 2018 season short after sustaining a knee injury last week against the Denver Broncos. After serving a suspension that cost him the first four weeks of the season, Liuget played six games and had 9 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and fumble recovery that he took for 24 yards in Oakland. During the offseason Liuget agreed to restructure his contract that would make him a free agent in 2020 but with an upcoming cap hit of $9.
