Earlier today, the Chargers claimed defensive tackle Marcus Hardison off waivers from the Houston Texans.
Hardison was a former-fourth round selection of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2015 draft out of Arizona State University. Prior to the 2016 season, Hardison suffered a shoulder injury during the preseason and wound up sitting out the entire year. In 2017, he spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots prior to landing with the Texans.
At 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, Hardison provides some solid depth along the defensive interior and brings the size needed to play either the 3- or 1-technique in Gus Bradley’s defense.
