Those of you calling for the San Diego Chargers to fire head coach Mike McCoy after just one game this season -- and there’s been a lot of you out there on social media – will have to wait awhile.
In this interview with Hank Bauer and Billy Ray Smith of The Mighty 1090 AM radio, Chargers chairman Dean Spanos said it’s too soon to go down that road with his head coach, despite a 22-27 record as a head coach that includes going 6-13 against the AFC West.
“At the end of the day, it’s the first game of the season,” Spanos said.
