According to ESPN’s Eric Williams, Chargers offensive lineman Forrest Lamp had to be carted off the practice field after injuring his right leg. Lamp suffered the injury blocking on a zone stretch play, per Williams.
If Lamp’s injury is serious, this will be a significant loss for a team that desperately needed to improve the offensive line (a line that ranked 32nd and 31st in the NFL the last two years, respectively, per Pro Football Focus). The Chargers signed left tackle Russell Okung and drafted Lamp and offensive guard Dan Feeney in the offseason.
