Chargers must find an answer behind Justin Herbert

In what feels like beating a dead horse, it is news once again that this Los Angeles Chargers’ offense is seriously lacking in all departments. While some of that firepower should hopefully be restored once Justin Herbert returns under center, it’s a giant red flag that the quarterbacks behind him are incapable of making an impact in the preseason.

Bottom 5 Chargers PFF offense grades vs. Rams:
1. TE Luke Benson 29.5
2. QB Easton Stick 29.8
3. WR Cornelius Johnson 37.2
4. QB Luis Perez 39.2
5. TE Stone Smartt 45.8 pic.twitter.com/gCHWgT07mr— Alex Insdorf (@alexinsdorf99) August 18, 2024

Both Easton Stick and Luis Perez looked downright abysmal against the Los Angeles Rams, which is not exactly a good sign given the Rams did not play their starters.
