Chargers, Mike Pouncey agree on 2-year contract

The Los Angeles Chargers and former Dolphins center Mike Pouncey have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, the team announced Monday.

The move comes three days after Miami cut Pouncey at his request after he asked for a pay raise and was denied.

In 2017, the 28-year-old Pouncey played his first 16-game season since 2012. He was coming off back-to-back seasons of major hip surgery but didn't show any effects of the injuries last season.

He is a three-time Pro Bowl selection, earning the honors in three consecutive seasons from 2013 to 2015.
