Chargers make splash on defense, sign Brandon Mebane

The San Diego Chargers weren’t able to bring Damon Harrison to California, but Brandon Mebane isn’t a bad second option.

As tweeted out by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chargers will sign Mebane to a three-year contract. This is a big move for Tom Telesco, as the Chargers have long needed a nose tackle to bolster the middle of the defensive line.

Mebane has spent his entire nine-year career with the Seattle Seahawks, where he’s been a productive member of a solid defense.
