The Chargers officially announced that they have acquired quarterback Taylor Heinicke from the Falcons in exchange for a 2025 conditional sixth-round pick.
In a corresponding move, the Chargers have officially released safety Tony Jefferson (they’ve already signed him back to the practice squad), waived running back Jaret Patterson, released cornerback Robert Kennedy from the practice squad, and signed both veteran center Sam Mustipher and tight end Eric Tomlinson to the practice squad.
The Chargers announced their trade for QB Taylor Heinicke and a few other moves:
