Michael Gehlken mentions that Chargers LT King Dunlap is due a $500,000 roster bonus on March 18 if he’s still on the team’s roster. However, Gehlken expects the Chargers to either release or restructure his contract before then.
King was arrested in Nashville on Thursday for suspicion of violating a protective order back in January.
King, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2008. He spent four years in Philadelphia before signing on with the Chargers in 2013.
Dunlap is entering the third year of his four-year, $28 million contract that included $13 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $5.
