Earlier this week, the Canadian Football League held their annual draft just three days following the NFL’s and there was a notable Chargers undrafted free agent that found his way into the top-10.
With the eighth-overall pick, the Calgary Stampeders selected linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga out of Oklahoma State. The two-time Second-Team All-Big 12 selection was one of 10 undrafted players to sign with the Bolts following the NFL draft and he’s already one of my favorites to make the initial 53-man roster.
Ogbongbemiga was in Nigeria and spent some time in Houston before his family moved to Calgary in 2011.
