COSTA MESA, Calif. -- A breakdown of the initial wave of free agency for the Los Angeles Chargers:
Overall grade: B. As usual, the Chargers did not make many splashy signings in free agency. Instead, general manager Tom Telesco chose to address specific needs with sensible deals, like signing blocking tight end Virgil Green to a three-year, $8.6 million contract on the opening day of free agency. The Chargers do not have many big holes on the roster, and the draft is loaded with talented prospects, so Telesco should add a handful of impact players in April.
